Online Blended Learning
STAR Center has received approval from the USCG to teach certain approved courses in a blended learning format. The USCG approval requires that STAR Center provide online “synchronous” instructor led training for knowledge-based lectures along with an onsite section at STAR Center to complete the required course assessments (practical and written).
The USCG has provided this approval of these alternative training delivery methods online and per USCG requirements, all students must complete the onsite course assessment portion at STAR Center within 6 months from the completion of the knowledge-based online portion with no exceptions.

DP training Agreement of Reimbursement (AOR) changes for AMO members
As a result of industry sector changes, the Agreement of Reimbursement specific to STAR Centers Dynamic Positioning training programs has been replaced with the standard STAR Center Agreement of Reimbursement for AMO Plans participants attending AMO Safety and Education Plan Training. All previously signed DP agreements will be considered to be amended to the less stringent terms of the standard AOR, effective immediately.
